Those who lived on Felix in the Cooper Young area got a knock on the door midmorning telling them to evacuate because a suspected bomb was inside this residence discovered by a home inspector.
"It was kind of alarming. Didn't know whether it was real or fake you know," said home inspector David Keen.
Police blocked parts of McLean, Barksdale and Felix in the Cooper Young area.
Residents were evacuated as the ATF, FBI and Memphis police investigated a possible pipe bomb inside the quadroplex on Felix.
The bomb squad sent a robot inside the residence to get what looked like a pipe bomb.
Officers and the home inspector also found instructions on the wall for making bombs, along with a photo and art work.
Later a man identified by neighbors as the renter walked inside the house filled with agents.
ATF and FBI agents then left the area after saying it was just an art project.
Action News 5 tried to talk to the renter, but when we knocked on the door of the house but no one answered.
