The Memphis Tigers committed 24 points and the 6th ranked Louisville Cardinals overcame a 16-point first half deficit to win the battle between the old rivals, 87-78.
Joe Jackson led the way for Memphis with 23 points, and Tarik Black added a season high 21, but nearly every Tigers player was in foul trouble most of the game. In the end, 5 Memphis players fouled out, and the Cardinals capitalized on all those trips to the charity stripe, hitting 38-of-46 free throws in the victory.
Chane Behanan led the Cardinals with 22 points, and Russ Smith scored most of his 19 points in the second half.
The Tigers fall to 6-and-3 overall.
They face Lipscomb December 20th at FedExForum. Tipoff set for 7pm.
