MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) – Action News 5 is working with the Memphis Police Department to put on a fundraiser to help the family of Officer Martoiya Lang, who was killed in the line of duty Friday.

Officer Lang was shot when she was serving a narcotics warrant at a home on Mendenhall Cove.

"We are asking that the city continue to keep her and her family in your prayers. She is the mother of four small kids," said MPD Director Toney Armstrong in a news conference Friday.

Her four daughters are ages 14, 13, 12, and 2-years-old.

In an effort to help the Lang family, Action News 5 will hold an 'In the line of duty' fundraiser Wednesday, December 19 from 5 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Donations can be made at the WMC-TV studios located at 1960 Union Avenue in Memphis.

All money collected will be donated to the Lang family.

This fundraiser will be put on with the help of the Memphis Police Department, Clear Channel Radio, and Clear Channel Outdoor.
