(WMC-TV) – Family and friends are mourning after the sudden death of a Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) student.

Taylor Stahlman, 19, was killed in a weather-related crash in Dyer County Wednesday.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Stahlman's car hit a patch of slush just after midnight on Lexie Cobb Road, just south of county highway 826.

Investigators say Stahlman was not wearing her seatbelt. She was ejected from her car during the accident.
