DYER COUNTY, TN -
(WMC-TV) - Hundreds in Northwest Tennessee are mourning the loss of 19-year-old Taylor Stahlman.

Stahlman was killed Wednesday when she lost control of her car on a sheet of ice.

The phones at Johnson Williams Funeral Home in Newbern were ringing off the hook, as the small town comes together to support the teen's family.

Family and friends of Stahlman said she was the sparkle in any room.

"She had a contagious smile," said Mike Stahlman, her father. "She walked into a room and all eyes were on her."

The MTSU sophomore was killed when she lost control of her car on Lexie Cobb Road outside Newbern.

Stahlman's car fell to the bottom of a deep ravine.

"She was on the phone with a friend, and let her know she was sliding, hit a bridge, lost control and was thrown from her car," said sister Kristen Dycus.

Taylor Stahlman was an honors graduate from Dyer County High School.

Stahlman continued her leadership role at MTSU.

There, she was the values and philanthropy chair of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority.

"Cherish every moment and live life like you've got plenty of time," said Dycus.

Taylor Stahlman had just spent Christmas with her mom, dad, and two sisters.

She was on her way to visit friends when the accident happened.

"She always wore her seat belt, the one time she didn't. If there's any message from this, God, wear your seat belt," said Mike Stahlman.

Taylor's dad said she was also an organ donor.

He hopes that's just one of the many legacies she leaves behind to future generations.

"Baby sister, daughter, friend - I'm going to miss her in lots of way," said Dycus.

Visitation for Taylor Stahlman will be held this Saturday from 4 until 8 p.m. at Dyer County High School.

Her funeral is set for 2 p.m. Sunday also at the school.
