Child hit by school bus in S. Memphis

MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - The 3-year-old hit by a school bus in South Memphis has been upgraded to non-critical condition.

The accident happened at the intersection of Carlton Road and Keen Road.

According to an official with Memphis City Schools, a Durham School Services bus was dropping off a student from the Shrine School when another child stepped in front of the bus and was run over.

According to the Memphis Police Department, the child was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but has since been upgraded to non-critical condition.

Durham School Services is working with the Memphis Police Department on the investigation.
