MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - A new grant is making Wi-Fi access a priority in the Soulsville community.

The $250,000 gift means high speed Internet access for many.

Delta Regional Authority is the organization responsible for the generous gift.

They hope it will allow residents to work, learn, and fully utilize information technology in their daily lives.

The Delta Regional Authority is a federal-state partnership.

It is congressionally mandated to help create jobs, build communities, and improve lives.

The federal co-chair said that's what this project is about.
