CLARKSDALE, MS -

(WMC-TV) - Anytime remains are discovered, or a body is found there are families all over the Mid-South worrying it could be their loved one.

Investigators in Clarksdale are still looking for 62-year-old Lige Robinson in the Sunflower River.

They believe he drowned, but there is still no sign after two weeks and his family is desperate for answers.

The Sunflower River flows right through the heart of downtown Clarksdale, near several playgrounds, and a walking trail.

It's also where Clarksdale Police continue to search for the body of Beverly Watson's 62-year-old father.

Lige Robinson was reportedly with a friend two weeks ago when the friend told police Robinson tried to canoe across the river to get a beach ball when the boat flipped.

When Robinson went missing, the river was surging from all of the rain.

Now that the water is receding, investigators hope his body will surface.

Watson is starting to question everything, including the original story given to police.

Clarksdale Police said they're looking into all possibilities, trying to get answers for family members.

Recovery teams continue to comb the banks of the river.

Clarksdale Police said the investigation is still open and they're exploring all possibilities about what may have happened to Lige Robinson.
