MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - A Cordova school has had its eye on former student and Baltimore Raven, Morgan Cox. Now, Evangelical Christian School can now claim a Super Bowl champ as a celebrated alumnus.

ECS basketball coach Manuel Burton said he did not personally work with Cox, but he is glad to see a former student setting such a good example for Memphis and the ECS community.

"I just think everybody in the community is extremely proud of that fact that he went to this school, is model of this school, and something for the kids to look up to," said Burton.

Morgan Cox is not the only Mid-Southerner who played in the Super Bowl this year. Michael Oher, whose story inspired the movie "The Blind Side" also celebrated a win. Ole Miss graduate Patrick Willis also played on the gridiron, but as a 49er, fell to the Ravens 34-31.
