Pam McKelvy comes to Action News 5 with more than 15 years of experience in television news.

She worked at television stations in Amarillo, Texas; Topeka, Kansas; Kansas City, Missouri; and even here in Memphis before joining the WMC-TV5 team.

You may recognize Pam from her beauty queen years. She was Miss Kansas in 1992 and was third runner up to Miss America.

Pam is an alumna of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority and is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. She is also a proud member of Brown Baptist Church in Southaven.

"I am a living testament of the power of God," said Pam. "I am a breast cancer survivor and live in gratitude daily."

Pam has been married for 14 years and has one son, who is 7 years old.

In her spare time, Pam enjoys fishing, reading, gardening, cooking, and purse shopping!
