MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - Two women are facing charges after reportedly attacking a waiter at a restaurant on Winchester Road Tuesday night.

Police were called to Logan's Steakhouse just after 5:30 p.m.

When they arrived, they found the server, Tarik Louis, had been cut by a knife.

Police say it all started with a table of 25 people.

According to the affidavit of complaint, Shalonda Smith became angry because her food was not coming at the same time as the others.

She allegedly pushed Louis, hit him, and cut his forehead with a knife. Police say her sister, Starika Smith, joined in when Louis started fighting back.

The report says several witnesses reported both women chasing Louis with knives. According to police, the restaurant manager said it took seven employees to stop the attack.

The Smith sisters were arrested and charged with aggravated assault. They remain in jail.

The employees at Logan's Steakhouse could not comment on the incident.
