(WMC-TV) - When tornados are headed for the Mid-South, you will often hear the Action News 5 storm tracking team tell you to find your safe place. But do you really know where that is?
Meteorologist Ron Childers dropped in on Mid-South homeowners to show them the best place to hide out in their homes during a storm.
One family chose the bathroom as their safe place.
"What made you choose the bathroom?" asked Ron Childers.
"Well, I kinda grew up with my mother telling us that. We always did the hall bathroom in my home growing up," answered Jill Hatcher.
