Tech center unveiled at Southwest Tennessee Community College

MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - A brand new technology center was unveiled at a ribbon cutting ceremony at Southwest Tennessee Community College Tuesday.

The Inventory Locator Service Technology Center will serve as a lab for students and teachers to study information technology, as well as develop new products and services for the college.

The technology center was made possible by a partnership between Inventory Locator Service, LLC (ILS), which is a subsidiary of The Boeing Company, and the community college.

"A company rarely has the opportunity to invest in something that will help its community over the long term and also potentially shape future employees," said ILS President Eric Anderson. "We are proud to support the Boeing and ILS commitment to leadership in technology and innovation."

The technology center is located in the Butler building in the southwest area of the campus.
