WALNUT RIDGE, AR -
(KAIT) - The search for Sidney Nicole Randall entered day five Thursday morning with search crews hitting the road around 8 a.m.
Search crews are moving to the Smithville area to continue the search. They are also looking around areas near the Lawrence-Sharp County line.
"We back tracked, every little lead that we possibly could find," Lawrence County Sheriff Jody Dotson said.
Arkansas State Police seized the computers John Cornell, Sidney's stepdad and suspect in her disappearance, recently bought with tax refund money looking for any kind of evidence.
Sheriff Dotson says they are now asking the public to help in the search. Dotson said they are calling on property owners in Lawrence and surrounding counties to check their property.
"Your barns, your sheds, if there's an empty, old, abandoned house on your property or anything. You know your property better than anyone else," Sheriff Dotson said. "When you're doing your property check, if you come across anything out of the ordinary, something that you know is just not right, give us a call."
The Walnut Ridge Police Department, Lawrence County Sheriff's Department, Arkansas State Police, and the Arkansas Search Dog Association are using K-9 units, dive teams, helicopters, and ATV's to search for 14-year-old Sidney Nicole Randall.
Police continue to search ditches and ponds near the area where John Cornell was found dead Monday afternoon.
Police say his body was found about 200 yards away from his truck. Police say Cornell was the main suspect in Randall's disappearance and was wanted for questioning. It appears as though he took his own life.
After Cornell's death, the Arkansas State Police issued a level two Morgan Nick Amber Alert for Randall.
If you have seen or know anything about Randall's whereabouts, you are asked to contact the Walnut Ridge Police Department at (870) 886-3568.
