KANSAS CITY, MO -

(WMC-TV) - The Ole Miss Rebels are moving forward in the NCAA tournament after a win against the Wisconsin Badgers Friday.

The 5th-seeded Badgers fell to the 12th-seeded Rebels 57-46 in a match-up that was close until the very end.

What made the difference? It could have been Ole Miss guard Marshall Henderson, who began sinking shots in the second half, much to the relief of the Rebels in the stands. He took to twitter after the game talking about all sorts of things including future interviews, his next opponents and getting a tweet from Lebron James.

Melanie Headley is such a big Ole Miss fan, she wore a shirt proposing marriage to the college junior from Texas.

"Someone actually asked me if I wanted an annulment in the first half. I said, 'Wait for the second half.' Loyalty will get you there. Hotty toddy," she said.

In addition, a Memphis native made his hometown proud tonight.

Ole Miss starting guard and Memphis native Reggie Buckner who went to Manasas High School scored 9 points. He was the third highest scorer on the team for this game.

He also had 12 rebounds, and 5 blocked shots.

"Buckner has meant a lot to Ole Miss. We love to have to have Memphis natives to love Memphis rebels," said Cornith resident Kenny Carson.

This is the Rebels seventh appearance in the "Big Dance". Their last chance to dance was 2002 when they lost the opening round game to UCLA.

Ole Miss will play again on Sunday against the La Salle Explorers.
