Ole Miss fans lining up for Rebels’ second game in tournament

Posted: Updated:

(WMC-TV) – The Ole Miss Rebels are in Kansas City for the weekend and will play again Sunday. The Rebels have been considered long-shots to move forward. Now, they are matched against 13th seeded Lasalle, another underdog team. Ole Miss is in a strong position to hit the Sweet 16 in Los Angeles.

Ole Miss guard Marshall Henderson's dad predicted an upset when he talked to us Thursday. The school chancellor did too.

"I'm so proud of our guys," Ole Miss Chancellor Dan Jones said. "They've worked so hard to get here. Proud of coach Kennedy."

Now more fans will be on their way to Kansas City ready to get in on what some consider can't miss action.

"I had a science test I think, I had a math and English, but who cares right? It's the rebels yea the rebels," students Cal Atkinson and Jake McArthur said.

We've already seen Ole Miss fans lining up to buy 2nd game tickets from teams like Wisconsin and Kansas State, now out of the tournament. They better dress warmly. Several inches of snow are expected Saturday.
