MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - The Memphis International Airport is making it easier and more convenient for frequent fliers to get through security.

The TSA Pre-check is now available and business travelers are buzzing about it.

Jack Lawless is a frequent flier who used TSA Pre-check for the first time.

"It was great. No hassle, very hospitable people," he said.

The new security option is for passengers who travel often. They are invited by their airline or are part of the U.S. Customs and Borders Protection Trusted Traveler program.

"I travel frequently and I can tell you that this pre-check thing is great because business people often don't want to travel because of all the hassle and this will get more business travelers, traveling," said Jay Walker.

"It allows us to use our assets and focus on the unknown passengers and the high risk passengers," said Federal Security Director Kevin McCarthy.

TSA hopes to have more than 25 percent of its passengers participating in some sort of trusted traveler program by the end of the year.

TSA Pre-check will be available in more than 40 airports by the end of the month.

Frequent fliers on Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, United Airlines, or US Airways will have the option.
