MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - Several pastors spoke out about all of the other events happening this weekend because of the Easter holiday. One of those is the KKK rally, which they say could be something used to make Memphis look bad but they hope it will actually be used for good.

Reverend Dwight Montgomery of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference led the pastors Thursday afternoon.

He said many clergy across the city are working together to make this weekend about bringing people together. Reverend Montgomery hopes that will overshadow anything done at the KKK rally.

Reverend Walter Womack was also there, sharing a similar message.

"What the devil meant for bad, God can use for good," said Reverend Walter Womack, Faithful Baptist Church. "We don't want to succumb to evil but we want to overcome evil."

There are a lot of events being held this weekend of events in celebration of Easter. One of those includes speakers, booths, and activities being held at the fairgrounds.
