Holly Bobo's mother: Purse is not my daughter's

Darden, TN -

(WMC-TV) – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation reports that Holly Bobo's mother is now saying the purse found one mile from their home Wednesday does not belong to her daughter.

According to the TBI, Karen Bobo identified the purse via photograph as belonging to Holly.

Karen tells Action News 5's Janice Broach that she never positively identified the purse because she had only seen it in a photograph.

Now, after having seen the purse in person, she does not believe it is her daughter's bag.

The purse was dug up Wednesday afternoon by a neighborhood dog.

The discovery of the purse brought out search teams and dogs, who climbed down into thick woods and combed open fields.

Some neighbors said they heard the area where the purse was discovered was never searched.
