Grizzlies hope to grind out a victory against Clippers

MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - Down two games to the Los Angeles Clippers, the Memphis Grizzlies face a must-win situation tonight at FedExForum.

The team returns to the Grindhouse for its first home matchup of the 2012-13 postseason.

The Clippers took Game 1 Saturday by a 21-point margin. Despite a heroic comeback effort led by point guard Mike Conley and forward Darrell Arthur, a last-second Chris Paul bucket put the Clippers up 2-0 Monday night.

The Grizzlies hope to rely on their vaunted frontcourt tandem of Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol. Randolph's minutes in the series have been limited by foul trouble. He committed five fouls in only 25 minutes of play Saturday and spent much of Monday night's comeback on the bench.

Gasol, the team's 7 foot 1 center, yesterday was named the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year. Gasol is the first Grizzlies player to receive the honor.

Tonight's game tips off at 8:30. Pregame festivities begin on the FedExForum plaza at 6:30.
