Search continues for missing N. MS teen

OXFORD, MS -

(WMC-TV) - The search continues for a missing North Mississippi teen. Stephen Emerick, 19, is better known as Tyler. He was last seen Monday night.

Behind the rumble of 4-wheelers searching for Emerick was his mother's passionate plea.

"Tyler, I want you to come home. I love you. I'm not mad at you. I don't know what you're doing, or whoever's got you, bring him home, please," said mother Samantha Clark.

Search teams picked up their search Thursday for the 19-year-old who has been missing since he left work sick. Surveillance video caught him at two Walmart stores on the way home. His car was found by the Yocona River not far from his house on Tuesday.

"His phone was on the seat, keys were in the ignition. It was unusual," said Clark.

Lined with friends and family, a bridge stands as headquarters as dive teams, cadaver dogs, and search and rescue teams comb the river and its muddy banks.

With each passing minute, the family leans harder on each other, and God, hoping and praying for Tyler's safe return – trying not to fear the worst.

"If he worked late, a couple hours overtime, he always called me and said mom, 'I'm going to be a little late, I'm working overtime,'" said Clark.

Anyone with information should call 234-6421.
