Brother arrested in shooting death of 15-year-old

MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - The brother of a 15-year-old shot and killed last week has confessed to firing the fatal shots.

According to a police affidavit, Cardarius Webb was throwing bricks at people in front of a home on Spottswood Avenue. That is when Dewayne McKissack, 18, started shooting at two women but hit his brother instead. Right before the shooting, three others had run inside the home after noticing McKissack had a weapon.

Webb, 15, was pronounced dead on the scene. His brother was identified as the shooter in a photo lineup. McKissack later admitted to investigators that he pulled the trigger.

The 18-year-old is charged with second degree murder, one count of attempted second degree murder, three counts of aggravated assault, and one count of having a firearm with the intent to commit a felony.
