MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - The Memphis Grizzlies are on fire, earning a place in the Western Conference Finals with an 88-84 win against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Grizzlies' berth into the finals is a first in franchise history.

The Grizz came home early Thursday morning to a group of cheering fans, still awake celebrating the win.

The plane landed at the Wilson Air Center on Winchester Road at 2 a.m.

"I think this brings the city together in a huge way. I think everybody is rallying around them," said Abbey Wright, who was waiting the Grizzlies to land.

"I can't even tell you how happy I am that the Grizzlies have gone this far. This is great," said Jon Erickseb. "Rooting for them the whole way through to the next round."

Now it is a waiting game for the fans, who will wait to find out who the Grizz will play next. It all comes down to the series between the San Antonio Spurs and the Golden State Warriors.

The Grizz, on the other hand, are focusing on the next game regardless of who the opponent ends up being.

"We gotta rest up, prepare for both teams because it's gonna be a tough next series no matter who," said Zach Randolph. "Gotta have stuff ready."
