13-year-old charged with shooting brother with pellet gun

MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - A 13-year-old girl is charged with aggravated assault after she reportedly shot her 15-year-old brother with a pellet gun.

According to Lt. Helms with the Memphis Police Department, the boy was locked out of the family's home on Quito Road in Millington. When he tried to contact their father, the 13-year-old came out of the house and shot her brother in the arm.

The boy was taken to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital and was later taken to The MED. He is in stable condition.

The girl is charged with aggravated assault domestic violence. The name of the two teenagers involved will not be released because they are juveniles.
