(WMC-TV) - The Orange Mound girl who saw her father shoot her mother to death last Friday is asking for a candlelight vigil.

Meanwhile, the family is asking the community to embrace the 12-year-old who lost her mother and father in one swoop.

"I want everybody to come so we can put teddy bears by our house," said Langston's daughter Kimmiracle Langston.

One thing she misses most is her mom singing. Kimmiracle will move in with her mom's big sister.

Sister Fatina Allen loss compounds several recent tragedies.

"I'm trying to be strong, but it's hard because we just buried my mom four weeks ago," said Allen.

Even more, Kimmiracle's close aunt Yolanda Boyland has been missing two years.

A manslaughter charge happens when a death occurs in the heat of passion, without premeditation.

Police opened a domestic violence case after finding 35-year-old Kimberly Langston dead in her Hamilton Street home with her daughter and a one-year-old niece inside.

"My hope is closure for the daughter and the family," said Langston's friend Marshaye Smith.

Family and friends ultimately hope to expose the pain of domestic violence.

The candlelight vigil will be held Friday in front of Langston's house. The family is inviting all children of domestic violence to attend.

William Langston is due in court June 10.
