Citadel junior linebacker Carl Robinson has become the fourth Bulldog named to the College Football Performance Awards watch list for the 2013 season.
Robinson was enjoying an outstanding sophomore campaign a year ago before suffering a knee injury in week six against Chattanooga and missing the rest of the season. He had 54 tackles including 43 solo stops, three tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and one recovered fumble.
Robinson had double figures in tackles in three of his four complete games, including a career-high 14 against Georgia Southern and 13 in each of the next two games against Appalachian State and NC State. He was credited with nine tackles against the Mocs before the injury.
He did not participate in spring practice but is expected to be at full strength when fall camp begins in August.
Robinson played in nine games and started six of the last seven as a freshman in 2011, finishing the year with 42 tackles.
