MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - A Memphis police officer is in trouble for tweets that leaders say could have compromised safety during the March 30 Ku Klux Klan rally.

Officer Brian Hall reportedly sent out tweets from his personal Twitter account about people at the rally.

One tweet in particular said, "If anybody have bombs, they are on bus 4004." The note was referring to the bus that was carrying 61 KKK members to their rally downtown.

Hall also tweeted that bags of bricks and rocks would be for sale at the rally.

The FBI discovered the posts while monitoring social media networks for any threats during the rally.

A Memphis Police Department review board suspended Hall for 10 days without pay for violating the department's social media and personal conduct standards.

Hall apologized to the board and said he did not post the comments out of hate.
