MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - A woman escaped a seven hour torture session at the hands of the man she thought loved her.

Nine days ago, Sheena Robinson was beaten so badly by her boyfriend she is now half deaf.

Antonio Davis, is now locked up at 201 Poplar on a $500,000 bond, accused of beating her for hours.

"It's... It was hell," said Robinson. "Hell. I thought it was the last day."

She added, "The damage from the assault caused me to lose my hearing in my right ear, where it bleeds non-stop."

The assault lasted seven hours. A sock was placed in her mouth. Her hands and legs were taped up. She was then punched, kicked, beaten with a belt, cable cords, and a gun. She blacked out twice and woke up to worse.

"He forced me in a closet where he poured lighter fluid all over me," she said. "Told me he was going to set me on fire."

Robinson says he sparked a lighter at her but never followed through. The lighter fluid itself burned her left shoulder.

She says she begged Davis to take her to the hospital for hours and that he finally dropped her off at St. Francis Hospital on Park Avenue the next day.

"I hope he never sees daylight again. I hope he is behind bars the rest of his life," she said.

The pair dated for four years. Robinson says he had been abusive in the past.

When he was arrested, he had another outstanding warrant for punching Robinson in the head in early May.

Now, she hopes others will learn from her experience before finding out the hard way.

"Get out of it the first time it happens. Don't stick around. Love don't hurt," she warned. "If he hits you once, he'll hit you again. Not everybody makes it out of situations like this."
