MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - A man is charged with vehicular homicide and driving under the influence after falling asleep at the wheel on the way home from a club. The crash killed one woman.

Police identified the victim of a deadly DUI crash as 42-year-old Angela McGhee.

At Elvis Presley Boulevard and Raines Road, orange spray paint and the letters "P O I" mark the spot where police said McGhee died around 3:30 a.m. Saturday.

Justin Click is charged with vehicular homicide and DUI.

Investigators said he told them he had just left Club 152 on Beale Street and was headed home. According to an affidavit of complaint, he claimed to have had a couple of drinks earlier – but he was not drunk.

Still police said Click told them he knew he was at fault in the crash because he had fallen asleep at the wheel.

"Once you start drinking, you make bad decisions. That was obviously a horrible decision," said Dell Russell with Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

Russell tries to prevent stories like this one.

She said it is always heartbreaking when a life turns into "P O I" on the asphalt because of a DUI.

This is Click's first arrest in Shelby County. He posted $100,000 bond on the same day he was arrested.

Action News 5 crews went by his listed address but got no answer.
