WEST MEMPHIS, AR -

(WMC-TV) - A team of youngsters from a religious organization are spending their own money to participate in a program that makes a difference in the Mid-South. Part of the goal of World Changers is to leave homes better than when the team found them.

"We're putting up new siding were replacing rotten boards," said volunteer Ethan Jackson fixing a Mid-South resident's home.

The volunteers were making weather-proofing improvements for Willie Brown, who cannot afford home improvement on her own because she is on disability.

"It will be 'more warmer' in the winter and 'more cool' in the summer," said Brown.

These volunteers are from around the country. They are on a mission to renovate several homes in West Memphis and show their faith in the process.

"And what makes me proud is to be able to share what I believe with everyone else and let everyone know that Jesus loves them," said volunteer Rachael Broadrick.

Volunteers pay to do this work and are picking up the tab for everything from tools to transportation to get here.

"Its different for each youth group some kids pay out of their pocket, we do fundraisers year round.">

Brown considers this work a blessing.
