MY TURN: Supporting St. Jude

Posted: Updated:
MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - $1.8 million.  That is how much money it takes to operate St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for a single day.

One reason that number is so large is that the families of children who are treated there never have to pay St. Jude for anything. Another reason that number is so big is that the St. Jude campus has an army of people doing research every day to try to save the lives of more children.

Mid-Southerners have been very generous in their support of St. Jude with many wonderful fundraising activities.

WMC-TV 5 is proud to have a role in one of those fundraisers as a sponsor of the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway.

This year's Dream Home from Southern Serenity Homes is valued at $475,000. You can win it or one of dozens of other prizes by purchasing a $100 ticket. You can purchase a ticket by clicking here: https://waystohelp.stjude.org/sjdreamhome/redesign/dhForm.jsp

You can find out if you won one of the prizes by watching our special St. Jude Dream Home Showcase program here on WMC-TV 5 Sunday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

That's my turn. Now it's your turn. To comment on this segment or anything else, email yourturn@wmctv.com or call 800-465-1210.
