MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - An appeals court upheld the conviction of Jessie Dotson Tuesday.

Dotson was found guilty of six counts of first degree murder in December 2010 for the 2008 Lester Street attacks.

Dotson shot and killed his brother, Cecil Dotson, then went after everyone else inside the house with a gun and knife to eliminate witnesses. A 4-year-old, 2-year-old, his brother's girlfriend, and two friends were all killed.

Because the appeals court upheld the conviction, Dotson will remain on death row for the crimes.
