MEMPHIS, TN -
(WMC-TV) Tuesday morning one Millington clerk decided to fight back as her attacker tried to rape her.

This 4ft 6in woman, who chooses to remain anonymous, was told to "cooperate". She did just the opposite. She yelled, screamed, kicked, punched, squirmed, wrestled, and even bit back until he gave up. The almost-victim says "You're not going to do that to me. I'm not going to be the one that you're going to do this to. He would have had to kill me to get it."

The day after the attack she told reporters she was feeling "sore but okay" and "I don't like to be scared. I get mad."

By the end of the day, deputies arrested Jose Flores, who just moved from New Mexico to Millington, and lives just one block away from the Mapco where she was attacked.

Flores is currently being held without bond and goes to court Friday morning.
