Goose Creek's Chris Singleton has committed to play baseball for Stuart Lake and the Charleston Southern Buccaneers he announced on his Twitter account on Monday.
Singleton hit .354 for the Gators in his Junior season leading the team in HR's with 2. He was also tied for the team lead in runs scored (22) and was 2nd on the team in hits, stolen bases, slugging percentage and OPS.
"I chose CSU because I love the interest they showed." Singleton said in a message to Live 5. "Also because I want my great grand parents that live downtown to be able to still come and watch me play. Along with my mom"
Singleton was also a starter on the Gators basketball team that reached the state finals last season. He averaged over 8 points and 2 steals per game.
