The Grizzlies are in the market for a New D-League home when they want to send players down for development.
The Sacramento Kings are taking over basketball operations of the NBA Development League's Reno Bighorns under a new shared partnership between the two teams.
The Grizzlies and Utah Jazz had shared affiliation with the Bighorns for the past several years, and sent guards Tony Wroten, Jr. and former Grizz Josh Selby there for work during their rookie seasons.
This new move will allow the Kings to have an affiliate close to home to groom players and coaches - and oversee roster moves - in an affiliation similar to minor league teams in baseball.
New D-League Affiliations for the Grizzlies and Jazz will be announced later this Summer.
