Are you trying to beat the heat during all this hot weather? There's an app for that.

A few cell phone apps are helping people stay safe from heat waves this summer.

Apps like Sun Safe and Water Your Body will calculate just how long it is safe for your skin to be in the sun and how much water you should be drinking.

Sun Safe gets information on UV conditions and alerts you when you need to go inside.

Water Your Body determines how much water you should be drinking based on your weight. It can also remind you when to fill your next glass. It's also available for Android users.
