T-storms lead to flash flood warnings in Mid-South counties

MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - As a result of thunderstorms moving into the area Monday morning, several counties are under a flash flood warning.

Those counties are: DeSoto County, MS; Marshall County, MS; Panola County, MS; Quitman County, MS; Tate County, MS; and Tunica County, MS.

Monday also marks the 10th anniversary of a wind storm that blew through the Mid-South in 2003, causing major damage and leaving many people without power for weeks.  Action News 5 will be revisiting the neighborhoods hit by that storm and talking with many who survived it.  Tune into our special coverage of "Hurricane Elvis" Monday at 5 p.m.

We will revisit some of the neighborhoods hit by the storm 10 years ago.  We will talk to some of the people who survived it.
