MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - Memphis police are asking for help finding a 28-year-old woman who may be in danger. Police say Kristen Brenner has been missing since Monday afternoon.

Officers say an unknown man recently threatened her, which is why they feel she could be in danger.

Brenner has brown hair, blue eyes, and several tattoos, some of them on her neck. She is diagnosed with bipolar disorder and may not be taking her medication. She could be driving a 2005 Lexus with the Tennessee tag number: 367-4TG.

"I hope maybe she's just gone on a trip," said Brenner's neighbor, Bobby Sexton.

But posts made to her Facebook page about a half hour before she was last seen are causing concern among her friends.

A Facebook user, using the handle "Bigga Black", posted the following message to Brenner's timeline: "tx me asap I got bars cokee and cali."

Brenner replied, "i still got bars."

The term "bars" is also slang for Xanax. "Cokee" is sometimes used as slang for cocaine. And "Cali" is sometimes slang for medical-grade marijuana.

Brenner has an extensive arrest record, which includes theft, aggravated assault, and solicitation to commit first degree murder.

If you have seen her or know where Brenner is, you are asked to call the Memphis Police Department at (901) 545-2677.
