WEST MEMPHIS, AR -

(WMC-TV) - A rape suspect, who was out on bond during his trial, is missing.

Crittenden County Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Stanley James Carter, 46, of West Memphis. Carter was on trial for three counts of rape.

When he did not show up for court Wednesday, the trial continued. After a brief deliberation, the jury found Carter guilty on all three counts.

Carter faces life in prison for raping his live-in girlfriend's three little girls last May. But before the trial was even over, Carter became a fugitive on the run.

A judge issued a warrant for his arrest. He was last seen Tuesday.

Neighbors say Carter lived in West Memphis for most of his life.

"This was his house, I mean, that's where he's been living at. That was his brothers and sisters," said a neighbor. "I talked to him before. I told him, 'I wouldn't run because I don't think you did it.' He said he didn't. But he run, so, that changed my mind about it."

If you have any information on Carter's whereabouts, you are asked to call Crittenden County Crime Stoppers at (870) 732-4444.
