The Tennessee Vols are hoping for big changes on the football field this year, and they're incorporating a new look to go along with their new winning attitude.
The team rolled out five new looks for this fall, including a 'smokey gray' uniform that new coach Butch Jones is hoping becomes part of a tradition on the hill.
The new unis, designed by Adidas, will be part of a rotation during the fall, but the buzz was surrounding the shoulder to toe gray look- one that Jones says will not become an every day look for the team known as the 'Big Orange.'
"As of right now, the initial plan is a one game deal, but it could grow beyond that, but right now it's still a pride of who we are. You know, you look at alternate jerseys, and the smokey gray jersey, and it's the world that we live in," said Jones.
The Vols wore black uniforms trimmed in orange for a Halloween night game against South Carolina in 2009. That was the last time the Vols beat a ranked team.
