(WMC-TV) - The Shelby County School board voted to cease a contract with a national superintendent search firm Tuesday night. Then they voted to drop "interim" in Dorsey Hopson's title making him the permanent superintendent.

Along with the superintendent, the board is expected to discuss a retreat Tuesday night and nail down its meeting schedule. It is a special-called meeting.
