Tigers quarterback Jacob Karam was lured to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital Tuesday, thinking he was going to volunteer.
But, upon his arrival, the senior quickly learned he wasn't there to volunteer at all.
Allstate Insurance and St. Jude's teamed up to surprise Karam by naming him to the 2013 Allstate Good Works Team for his dedication and commitment to the community.
Only 22 Players earn this honor nationally.
Karam regularly volunteers at St. Jude, and his impromptu concert video with a St. Jude patient went viral this summer getting national headlines.
The Texas native says his family inspired him to take an active role with St. Jude's.
