Late rally sinks Razorbacks

Posted: Updated:

The Arkansas Razorbacks, playing without quarterback Brandon Allen, fall at Rutgers 28-24, even after taking a 24-7 lead in the third quarter.

Rutgers Gary Nova threw touchdown passes of 33 and 4 yards to Leonte Carroo in the final 9:55, rallying the Scarlett Knights from the 17-point deficit.

A.J. Derby got the start over injured Brandon Allen, and completed 14 of 26 passes for 137 yards and a touchdown, but it wasn't enough for the Hogs, who were looking to start the season 4-0 for the first time since 2003.
