MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - A burglary suspect is in custody Friday morning after an hours long barricade in a South Memphis home.

The whole situation began as a police chase that crossed state lines, caused wrecks, and even sent a child to the hospital.

While a resolution was peacefully reached with that suspect, early Friday morning it was quite the opposite. Before 1 a.m. in this cove, SWAT teams set off a flash bang and entered the home. Minutes later, the suspect was captured, brought out of the house, and put in a squad car.

The suspect that was then arrested is one of three in a car crash near State Line Road and Highway 55 in Southaven, Mississippi.

According to investigators, officers followed the car into Memphis where it was involved in multiple wrecks at Interstate 240 and Airways Boulevard, Kingsview and Vista Drives, and Brooks Road and Elvis Prelsey Boulevard.

The individuals then bailed out of the car on Sherrie Cove near Alcy Elementary School.

One suspect was arrested moments later. Now, after a long stand-off, the second suspect is under arrest.

Police have not yet released the name of either suspect.

The third suspect is still missing.

If you have any information, you are asked to call Crimestoppers at 901-528-CASH.
