Ole Miss to play #1 ranked Alabama

OXFORD, MS -

(WMC-TV) - Being ranked in the top 25 for the first time in four years has the Ole Miss Rebels riding high in Oxford. But they will need more than confidence to keep their three-game winning streak alive against Alabama this weekend.

Ole Miss is coming off a much needed bye week heading into Tuscaloosa to face the number one ranked Alabama Crimson Tide.

The Rebels have two straight road wins under their belts, but they are heading into a stretch of games, three of the next four against ranked teams, that would test even the most confident of teams.

It all starts with Alabama on Saturday, and coach Hugh Freeze knows the challenge that lies ahead.

"It's a tall task. I know that Coach Saban and his staff will have his guys ready to go, and they always seem to do what it takes to get the job done and they'll be ready and I think ours will, too," said Freeze. "And I look forward to this challenge."

Ole Miss and Bama set for a 5:30 p.m. kickoff Saturday in Tuscaloosa.
