(WMC-TV) - The end of September brought Media Day to FedExForum. There was more than expectation in the air for a team coming off a trip the Western Conference Finals.
It's a belief the Memphis Grizzlies can be the team to beat in the NBA.
"We want the whole thing. We got to the Conference Finals so we want to win big. We're not here to talk in the Media and say what we're going to do ... We know what we want to do," said Memphis Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph.
"We got better this off-season. Just because we're not on SportsCenter every morning talking about what we had for breakfast, I know adding Mike Miller is going to help. He's a vet. He's got a couple of rings and is a great shooter ... adding Kosta Koufas, he was a starting center in the league ... You realize he beat out Javale McGhee. We have so many great pieces," said Grizzlies forward Quincy Pondexter.
New Grizzlies Head Coach Dave Joerger is in charge of making it all come together.
Joerger was an assistant on former Coach Lionel Hollins staff for the past six years. Joeger brings continuity to a team built to win now.
Training camp is up next for the Grizzlies.
