Arizona lawmakers receiving pay during government shutdown

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Many CBS 5 News viewers have been wondering if members of Congress are still getting paid during the shutdown.

CBS 5 News is holding Arizona lawmakers accountable.

CBS 5 News reached out to state lawmakers in Washington and received the following responses.

U.S. Rep. Ron Barber, AZ-2, said he will donate his pay to charities during the shutdown.

U.S. Rep. Matt Salmon, AZ-5, said he has requested his pay be suspended.

U.S. Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick, AZ-1, will donate a portion of her pay to a local charity.

U.S. Sen. Jeff Flake, R-AZ, said he's still deciding what to do with the pay.
