(WMC-TV) - Ann Marie Hall is a well known local actress at Theater Memphis and Circuit Playhouse. But now, it is her mother who is in the spotlight.

Mary Hall, 83, had just driven up her Midtown driveway after church when she says she saw her life flash before her eyes.

As soon as Hall opened her door, she says she knew she was in trouble.

"I didn't see him 'til I opened the door, and that gun in his face was in my face and I did exactly what he said," says Hall.

The man on the other side of the gun demanded Hall's jewelry and her purse.

She quickly agreed to his demands.

"He kept saying every other breath he was going to kill me and I thought, 'Well, have everything,' " she continued.

The robber took Hall's jewelry and purse, which had $225 in cash.

He also got her coupons to a Tunica casino.

"Actually I usually go to the casino on Sunday afternoon. If I'd been at the casino spending money I wouldn't have gotten robbed," Hall continues.

Hall says she is always careful to watch out around her.

But after Sunday's scare, she's very well aware crime can happen to anyone at anytime and anywhere.

"Be very observant, look and watch who's coming up behind you and observe you and what have you," she said.

Memphis police released information about two suspects in the case Tuesday. A man in his upper 20s and a woman in her younger 20s used the victim's credit card in a robbery at Kroger located at 2269 Lamar Avenue.
