Manhunt ongoing for suspect in stabbing

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The search is ongoing for the man police say tried to kill someone overnight.

Metro police say the suspect was invited to a home on Oak Valley Drive. He allegedly became drunk and was asked to leave. The host got the suspect outside, which is when police say the suspect stabbed him two times in the stomach.

The host was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is believed to be driving a white four-door Oldsmobile Alero.

Police say they plan to charge the suspect with attempted criminal homicide.
