HINDS COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Kidnapping victim Sharice Latham is the wife of alleged murderer Michael Wright. The Rankin County Circuit Clerk's office says the two married in February 2013.

That marriage happened just two months after Wright was bonded out of jail in Panola County where he was charged with murder in the death of his ex-girlfriend.

According to the murder victim's sister, Diane White, Wright's family put up a piece of commercial property they own in Panola County worth $500,000 for his bond. That same piece of land, according to White, is where the murder victim Cere White Cannon's body was discovered December 2012.

The search resumed at 7 a.m. Friday for murder/kidnapping suspect Michael Wright, but the strategy is a little different.

No perimeter has been set up, and the Hinds County Sheriff's Department believes he may have escaped the area. However, they'll still follow up on any leads in the area.

Investigators also believe Wright has a cellphone, and may have been in contact with Latham after she returned home.

Latham, was abducted Wednesday, but was able to escape from Wright Thursday morning.

"Sharice Latham was able to get into the driver's seat of the vehicle she and Wright were driving when Wright got out of the vehicle," said Hinds County Sheriff's Department Spokesman, Othor Cain.

Latham was able to drive herself to safety. She was checked out at a hospital and was talking with Hinds County investigators Thursday evening.

Authorities set up a search perimeter at Chapel Hill Road and Dixon Road in Hinds County, which was near where Wright got out of the car. The search later moved to the area of Highway 18, Adams Station Road, and Berry Road. That is the same area where the manhunt was suspended for Thursday evening.

Wright is also accused of shooting and killing 55-year-old Jerry Brent, who is the uncle of Latham.

Wright is out on bond and awaiting trial on murder charges. Wright is charged with the December 2012 murder of Cere White Cannon. Cannon's body was found in Panola County on Christmas Eve.

Cannon was Wright's girlfriend at the time of her death. Wright is the former boyfriend of Latham.

Latham and Wright, reportedly had a fight before the Wednesday murder and abduction.

Brent's body was discovered just before noon Wednesday in a home at 3087 Flint Young Road, near Utica, by a home health nurse who was checking on Latham's grandmother. The elderly woman wasn't harmed.
